Jacksonville, FL
Jupiter, FL — SVN | Safe Haven Advisors, a specialty marina & marine business advisory practice, has
arranged the sale of Fort George Island Marina in Duval County, FL to Yamaha Motor Corporation
U.S.A. Coordinating the sale on behalf of the buyer was David Kendall, a founding partner of SVN | Safe
Haven Advisors.
Fort George Island Marina is located on the winding banks of the St. Johns River, which is surrounded by
some of Northeast Florida’s most historic landmarks. The marina is located just east of downtown
Jacksonville and minutes away from Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach. The marina is directly across
from the mouth of the St. Johns River where it meets the Atlantic, making it the closest marina in the area
to the open ocean.
Seller Ross Garrett commented, “I would personally like to acknowledge the exceptional experience I
encountered working with Safe Haven Advisors. This marks my second occasion working with David
Kendall. David’s in-depth knowledge of the market and established relationships, combined with
experience negotiating complex transactions, positions him as a leading specialist in the marina industry.”
David Kendall remarked, “Several years ago, we had the privilege of facilitating the transfer of ownership
for Fort George Island Marina to Ross Garrett. The opportunity to now assist Ross in smoothly exiting
this investment feels truly gratifying. Collaborating with a corporate client like Yamaha has added an
extra layer of excitement to this experience, making it all the more fulfilling.”
